[MEMORY LOG] Memories #32 - 39

Monster World, part one: character creation to soul transfer [6.50-7.53]

FROM: Hatter & Dormouse's anon confessions game.
FORM: a HI, MY NAME IS _______ sticker
SHAREABLE: ??/??

From here to right before Yuugi asks for his soul to be transferred, too.

Dinner and slaughter, two great tastes that taste even better together! [34.297/real world version]

FROM: Goldie's auction game.
FORM: a tube of kunzite lip gloss
SHAREABLE: 9/10

The Thief King makes it back to some semblance of civilization, and draws a little too much attention with his spoils. Some very rude men attempt to interrupt his dinner, with this as the result.

Battle City Yuugi Duel, part two: things go wrong and Malik needs to stop backseat dueling. [23.205-24.208]

FROM: Cheshire's Apples to Apples game.
FORM: an orange
SHAREABLE: no

BUT MY OCCULT COMBO THO :(

Bobasa, the Pharaoh leaving for the Memory World, and Bakura being barred from joining the others. [32.281-32.285]

FROM: Nick's roleplaying game.
FORM: a kunzite feather (stick behind your ear to use)
SHAREABLE: 2/3

Mostly this is notable because Bakura Ryou gets upset at Bobasa for not letting him go with the others, rather than getting mad at Dark Bakura, whose fault it technically is (the translation makes it look like it's Dark Bakura who's mentally calling Bobasa names, but the word choice in the Japanese version makes it pretty obvious it's Ryou...) This is split up into several chapters but here are some relevant links: here, here and here. Presumably this memory also includes the offscreened stuff of the Bakuras somehow bringing everyone's unconscious bodies into the room with the diorama as well...

PUT THE RING ON, BAKURA. DO IT DO IT DO IT. [12.97]

FROM: Maleficent's cooking game.
FORM: a bag of six team-colored fruit candies, tied with a bright ribbon
SHAREABLE: 5/6

I'M JUST TRYING TO HELP.

Palace invasion: Diabound vs the priests. [32.285-32.287/real world version]

FROM: Nimue and Odile's status effects game.
FORM: a miniature goblet with a slightly less miniature glass vial
SHAREABLE: 2/3

The priests attempt to draw Diabound out and imprison him, which goes poorly for them. As does Seth's attempt to fight Diabound head on.

Working with Bakura on the Millennium World TRPG model. [implied canon]

FROM: Wonderland finale.
FORM: a small hand mirror with a dark gray casing
SHAREABLE: 5/7

Dark Bakura tells Atem that he had Bakura Ryou create the (really rather impressive) model of the palace and the Theban Necropolis for the final TRPG. Atem jumps to the conclusion that Bakura Ryou was coerced into this, but that doesn't make very much sense, given the way Ryou's attitude towards the Ring seems to have shifted dramatically by the end of Battle City. We never see it onscreen, but I feel pretty confident saying that to a certain extent they probably worked on it together, with Dark Bakura providing the general instructions and specific details and Ryou doing the actual model-making.

Palace invasion: the origin of the Millennium Items and getting smacked aside by Atem. [32.287/real world version]

FROM: Gerda's cabin design game.
FORM: a palm sized teddy bear
SHAREABLE: 1/2

ATEM: Bakura! For what purpose do you want the Millennium Items?!
BAKURA: Heh... [holds up Akhnamkanon's mummy] Why don't you ask him~?

Also contains the Thief King's's pontifications on the meaning of "justice" (it's whatever the people in power want it to mean), namedropping of Kul Elna and Zorc Necrophades, and Atem casually walking through the middle of a ka battle to shove the Thief King out of the way and grab his father's mummy. You done pissed off the Pharaoh now.
