Breaking into Akhenamkhanen's tomb. AWW YEAH. [offscreen canon]

FROM: Nimue's D&D/Pokémon battle game
FORM: A small vial of water with a kunzite ribbon wrapped around it.
SHAREABLE: no

This is not something we're shown in the manga, unlike the anime. Basically, we can assume that the Thief King broke into Akhenamkhanen's tomb, in the process learning all the traps, until he reached the burial chamber. At which point he grabbed a bunch of treasure and also Akhenamkhanen's mummy itself. The anime never has the mummy leave the sarcophagus, in the manga the Thief King later drags the mummy itself into the throne room by the neck, SOOOOOOO...

What he learned:
- He is clearly the best thief ever.
- He's grabbing the previous Pharaoh's mummy in order to force the current Pharaoh to hand over the Millennium Items.

The slaughter at Kul Elna. [35.308]

HEEEERE WE GO.

Cut for mild gore and disturbing content. )

So. Yeah. In order to create the Millennium Items, Akhenaden needed 99 human sacrifices. To get these, he secretly slaughtered the entire village of Kul Elna... and then fed their bodies to vats of boiling metal and made the Items out of their remains. I'm assuming that even in its dying state (see my earlier post on headcanon regarding the village), Kul Elna was home to more than 99 people, and the rest were slaughtered just so that there would be no witnesses.

The Thief King would have been around six years old at this time, and he saw the whole thing. His friends and family were murdered right in front of him in horribly degrading ways and he couldn't do anything about it but watch. He was also the only survivor. (SHUT UP, GX MANGA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU)

I can't really emphasize enough how important this memory is. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to convey how much the memory of Kul Elna's destruction is Dark Bakura's character, and I don't really know how! But it's basically the source of the Thief King's motives for wanting the Items and revenge, and it's why he eventually becomes the entity known as Dark Bakura. It answers most of the questions Shes has about his memories.

It's also going to cause a major trauma-induced breakdown when he takes the memory.

HEY DUDES.

Shes has gotten his memory of the Kul Elna massacre back! As I mention in that writeup, taking it is going to result in a full-scale breakdown. I am planning on running fixit heart game (much like Mithos did when he got back the memory of his sister's death) so that he doesn't go as crazy/break as hard as he could. It's not going to be a scored heart game, so technically it can go for as long as it needs to and people don't have to be there right at the beginning, etc. For obvious reasons I'm limiting participation in this to people Shes has actually met.

What I need from you is to know what times would work! Looking at the Aather calendar, there are a lot of events and busy stuff coming up. My life is also pretty busy right now. But this weekend is a bit of a lull in both schedules! Then again, hurricane. So maybe that won't work because people won't have power. IT'S HARD TO PLAN but if you want to play, please comment with your availability and we'll figure something out!!1!
